Pre & Post Massage Care

Arrive at your session on time, no one wants to be frazzled going into a massage session. Wear comfortable clothing with underwear, have some food (not over full) and be hydrated. Massage will be voided without underwear.

Bring medication lists, notes/medical clearances, or scan results. To make sure the service provided to you is safe for you and any conditions you have. We may need you to obtain a medical clearance letter from your GP, prior to receiving a massage. Sometimes it can be good to go to a session with an intention in mind, to help with your focus or the opposite and try to clear your mind whilst receiving your massage.

Post-massage you may feel energised, clarity, and light. It can be common to feel tired and even some post-massage soreness up to two days. If you have some soreness, apply a topical pain-relieving ointment like our Myo muscle balm. Use a heat/cold pack if needed, as directed by your therapist.

Take advantage of your massage. Avoid strenuous exercise, try a light walk, gentle stretches can be beneficial to further promote blood flow and flushing out metabolic waste. Have a nice magnesium salt bath or relaxing hot shower. Allow your body to rest and recover. Massage can be beneficial with sleep by reducing mental and physical discomfort, go to bed early.

Most importantly keep hydrated! We recommend having a couple glasses of extra water on top of your daily intake. Aiming for at least 2 Litres a day.

It’s easy to get caught up in life and appointments so book your next massage before you leave.

Remember it’s gratifying to nurture, support and restore your body!

Illness and Massage

If you are feeling under the weather, it is very important that you reschedule your massage session.

During illness your body is trying to isolate and fight the infection. Massage promotes blood flow and circulation. It will further the illness and make you feel 10x worse after your massage. Your body may also feel extra sensitive to touch if you’re ill. You’re also in close proximity to your massage therapist and it’s highly likely that they could catch your illness too. Please reschedule after a week of feeling better with no symptoms.

Cancellation Policy

We value your time and ask that you respect our time and cancellation policy. Please notify us at least 24 hours in advance of cancellations. This allows sufficient time to give your time to another client who is on our waitlist.

A fee may be charged for no shows and late cancellations.

We offer a contactless payment service (Tyro Health/ Medipass) for private health claims. Please bring your mobile to appointments so we can complete the process on your device together. Unfortunately, not all private health insurers have enabled online claiming, so those who are with HCF or Defense health for example will need to collect rebate from insurance company using the app or instore.
