Remedial Massage Therapy

Remedial massage works to relieve muscle tension and support injury recovery, improving mobility and flexibility, and assisting in the management of pain and a range of musculoskeletal conditions.

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep tissue massage uses firm pressure to release chronic tension, improving mobility, pain relief, and overall well-being.

Pregnancy Massage

Pregnancy massage helps relieve pain, reduce stress and swelling, while promoting deep relaxation, improved sleep, and a gentle connection with your baby — supporting a more comfortable and nurturing pregnancy journey.

Postnatal Massage

Postnatal massage gently supports your recovery after birth, easing pain and tension while encouraging relaxation, emotional balance, and overall wellbeing for new mothers.

Relaxation Massage

Relaxation massage uses gentle strokes to melt tension, promoting deep relaxation, stress relief, and improved sleep.

Myofascial Cupping

Myofascial Cupping is a therapeutic technique that uses gentle suction to lift and release tight muscles and fascia. It helps improve circulation, reduce muscle tension, and support recovery from pain, injury, and restricted movement.

Nurture, Support & Restore

NSR ‘Nurture, Support & Restore’ Massage Therapy was established in November 2021.

Since opening, NSR has supported a wide range of clients across the community, from young to older adults, providing personalised care in a calm and welcoming environment. From the moment clients enter the clinic, our focus is on making them feel comfortable, heard, and individually cared for through tailored treatment plans.

We support clients on their journey toward improved movement, pain relief, and long-term wellbeing, often working collaboratively with other health professionals such as physiotherapists, chiropractors, and psychologists where appropriate.

Our mission is to help restore optimal function, health, and wellbeing within the local community.

We are passionate about making a meaningful difference and encouraging proactive self-care — because when we feel better, we move better, live better, and are better.

Meet Danni Assender

DIRECTOR & REMEDIAL MASSAGE THERAPIST

I am passionate about helping people reduce pain, improve movement, and support both physical and mental wellbeing. My approach combines hands-on treatment with education around body awareness and simple movement strategies clients can use at home to support long-term results.

Pregnancy massage is a deeply rewarding part of my work. Completing practitioner training with Pregnancy Massage Australia has equipped me with advanced skills to provide safe, supportive, and holistic care throughout pregnancy and the postnatal journey.

I enjoy supporting women through the physical changes of pregnancy, helping to relieve muscular tension, reduce discomfort, and encourage deep relaxation. It is incredibly meaningful to witness the positive impact these treatments have on both mother and baby.

I have also been involved in a Western Sydney University study exploring massage as a supportive therapy for women who have experienced stillbirth. This provided valuable insight into bereavement care and the importance of compassionate, informed treatment in these sensitive circumstances.

With a background in dental nursing, I have a particular interest in the relationship between the jaw, neck, and shoulders. I often work with clients experiencing clenching, grinding, and tension in these areas, focusing on identifying and releasing underlying muscular restrictions.

I am currently studying with Polestar Pilates, working toward completing my Diploma in Pilates to expand my clinical offering. My goal is to introduce one-on-one Pilates sessions within the clinic in the future, including full apparatus-based training. This will further complement massage therapy by supporting strength, mobility, posture, and long-term body awareness.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and pets, being outdoors in the sun, and connecting with nature. I value time to rest and reset — often at the beach — and I enjoy gardening, creative projects, music, and dancing as ways to maintain balance in my own wellbeing.

Meet Kylie

REMEDIAL MASSAGE THERAPIST

I am passionate about massage therapy and its ability to support the body in healing, recovery, and overall wellbeing. I enjoy helping clients reduce pain and manage symptoms so they can move more freely and get more out of their daily lives. My treatments aim to support reduced pain, improved circulation, increased mobility, and decreased stress.

I particularly enjoy working with chronic pain conditions, shoulder and upper back tension, migraines, and headaches. I provide medium to firm pressure using deep tissue and trigger point therapy techniques tailored to each individual.

I also offer myofascial cupping, a gentle yet effective technique that uses suction to lift and release soft tissue. This can be a great alternative to deeper pressure, helping to improve circulation and reduce muscular tension.

Each person is unique, and no two bodies respond the same way. I always tailor treatment to individual needs and respect each client’s preference for either conversation or quiet, restorative treatment time.

I believe massage should be part of a healthy lifestyle — ongoing maintenance for hardworking bodies. Taking time for self-care without distraction is essential for both physical and mental wellbeing. I look forward to supporting you with your health and wellness goals at NSR Massage Therapy.

Outside of work, I enjoy a relaxed lifestyle that includes DIY projects, baking, crafting, and music (especially Lana Del Rey). I also love spending time at the beach, exploring op shops, and enjoying creative time at home.

New Client Information

Before & After Your Massage

Please arrive on time and wear comfortable clothing with underwear. We recommend having a light meal beforehand and staying well hydrated. Please note: massage treatments cannot be provided without underwear.

Bring any relevant medication lists, scan results, or medical clearances to help ensure your treatment is safe and appropriate for your needs. In some cases, a clearance from your GP may be required before treatment.

After your massage, you may feel relaxed, energised, or slightly tired. Mild post-massage soreness can occur for up to 48 hours. Gentle stretching, light walking, heat or cold packs, magnesium baths, and rest may help support recovery.

Avoid strenuous activity after your treatment and allow your body time to rest and restore. Massage can also support deeper sleep and overall wellbeing.

Most importantly, stay hydrated — we recommend drinking extra water following your treatment.

Feeling Unwell?

If you are feeling unwell or experiencing cold or flu-like symptoms, please reschedule your massage appointment.

When your body is fighting an illness, massage may increase circulation and leave you feeling more fatigued or sensitive afterwards. It also helps protect your therapist and other clients from becoming unwell.

We recommend rebooking once you have been symptom-free and feeling well for at least 7 days.

Appointment Cancellations

We value your time and appreciate the same consideration for our therapists and clients on the waitlist. Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.

Late cancellations and missed appointments may incur a cancellation fee.

Payments & Private Health Claims

We offer convenient contactless private health claiming through Tyro Health. Please bring your mobile phone to your appointment so we can complete the claiming process together.

Please note that some health funds have not yet enabled online claiming through Tyro Health. In these cases, you may need to claim your rebate directly through your health fund app or in store.

We accept both cash and card payments.
